When I was asked to participate in a sprint triathlon, I was surprised that I didn’t immediately say “HELL NO”. 1/2 mile swim, 12.3 mile bike and 4.4 mile run sounds pretty intimidating. That’s a lot to take in when you still have a long way to go in your weight loss and fitness journey. While contemplating whether I should or shouldn’t participate in this triathlon, there was one thing that kept on holding me back and that was self doubt and I’m sure everyone can relate to that. I kept on thinking what if I can’t do it. What if I don’t finish, all these what ifs ran through my mind. But I’m here to challenge you with what of you can do it. What if you do finish. The only way you could ever find out is by simply trying your best.
